My name is Mark O'Kane and I live in Ireland with my wife, 3 dogs and 2 cats... yes we're pet lovers.

I enjoy reading about, and watching history programs, especially major events such as wars or uprisings. I am fascinated by the potential array of changes these can bring about including socio-economic, political, class, religious, cultural, gender-based changes.

I love Scuba diving. Yes I do scuba dive in Ireland and yes it's cold. With that said, there's some amazing diving off the west and north coast of Ireland. I'd highly recommend it giving it a try.

My Professional Background

My professional experience is primarily in Product Management. I have 8+ years experience in Product Management, most recently working as the Head of Product Management to establish a new Product Management office for scrum teams in Hyderabad, India and Europe. My experience spans telecommunications, personal information systems (PIMs), Cloud, Kubernetes consulting, and most recently, financial compliance.

When looking for a product management role, I prefer positions that have both a technical and strategic focus. I enjoy working with new technologies to explore their potential and how they can benefit the company and its customers.

I have worked at companies ranging from start-ups to enterprises. Working in start-ups appeals to me because the agile environment provides greater flexibility and faster turn-around, providing me with the opportunity to make a stronger impact on both the business and its customers.
